A couple of weeks later they call me asking for $679 because of my visit. And they asked for my insurance to charge me for the bill. I refused to tell them anything because why would I pay for my visit when I didn't receive any service. A couple of more weeks later we get a bill in the mail asking for $373 for the same visit.

If I could give them zero stars in a post I would. This staff is very unprofessional and every bill you receive is just an attempt to take your money for fantasy services performed.

Be careful about visiting family members here. They may send you a bill for using the lights, A/C, hallways, bathrooms, chair rental, and parking. This place is very slow to help, but very fast to bill.

I went to the emergency room here to diagonose some problems I was having. I waited around for 2+ hours in the emergency room, filled out some paperwork, had my blood pressure taken, stood on a scale, and waited some more. After all of this my pain had subsided and I was told I may have to wait 4+ more hours before I saw anybody so I decided to leave and signed a form of release.

I arrived by ambulance on Monday November 5th. To the ER. Late evening. I had called 911 from my home because I had uncontrolled vomiting since the night before. As my husband has macular degeneration is an able to drive and due to out age I thought it best to call 911 . Paramedic arriving to my house was great assistance and I appreciated his help. ( paramedic cob ). The nurse at the hospital, whose name was Cynthia, was great. She is caring and understanding and has a pride in her job. Unlike previous visits with nurses with "attitude ". Cynthia was totally different. Thank you to the staff for making me feel like "you" cared. My only "downer" was the staff who had too much cologne. That was the receptionist and the lab personnel. Not that they did not do the job or was not kind and considerate it was just too much cologne for me at the time.

Arrived at the Emergency room with a several kidney problem. They had to operate to put in a stint. I was in ICU for several days and then moved up to the regular ward. The nurses, doctors and even housekeeping were wonderful!! Unfortunately, I have been in many DFW hospitals and this was by far the best. My sincere thanks to the staff and management.

I see a few responses from the Hospital to positive reviews, but it looks like the preponderance of reviews are negative and the majority are over your billing practices. How about a response that explains this issue, or that you are making changes to better align costs to be more reasonable and affordable?

As a retired ER nurse of 25 years I know the difficulties of working in an emergency room. The stress is a lot for the personnel. This is my opportunity to say thank you .

Then I got my bill. They attempted to bill my insurance $16,000. My insurance refused that price and paid them about $3,800. They sent me the co-pay portion of $1,600. Why was the initial bill $16,000 and the final bill $5,400? We wonder why we have such issues with insurance in this country. The real problem is no pricing regulation to stop medical providers from gouging the public.

I had what felt like another kidney stone coming on. When the symptoms continued I decided to get to the ER. The staff at the ER could not have been better or more attentive. Turns out that either I passed it or I had some other spasms. While there I received a CT scan and a shot (Muscle Relaxer). I went home feeling much better.

I had to visit the ER in July 2017, this was a first for me! Overall the staff and Physician was very friendly and very attentive. I received my ER bill, that was a bit of a shock.I went in to the accounts department and dealt with Melissa Brewer! She was very helpful and very friendly. I would recommend her highly for any financial counseling regarding Lake Granbury Medical Center. The only suggestion I would make is to maybe revise your pricing as it is pretty high!

Basically they just pull numbers out of thin air and send you a bill. If you ask for an itemized bill they can give you fantasy services they performed with a number slapped beside it. I wonder how much the bill would have been if we had actually been helped by a doctor. I called them and asked for them to explain to me how we could have received a bill for this amount. They said it was for triage which was basically them taking my blood pressure, weight, and asking me a few questions. This took about 5 min. to do all of this. I said how could triage cost $373, or actually $679 because this was the original bill and what we were asked to pay initially over the phone. She said they send bills like this to everybody. So I said just because you do this to everybody doesn't make it okay.
