Thank you Texas

Acton Cemetery is beautiful, very unique. I absolutely loved seeing the burial site for Elizabeth Crockett, and the many burial sites for our Confederate Veterans.

Contains the burial plot for Elizabeth Crockett, widow of Davy Crockett (King of the Wild Frontier). Her burial plot and monument were once an official Texas State Park, and as such, was the smallest state park in Texas. It is now Acton State Historic Site and is the smallest historic site in Texas.

Supposedly the wife of a famous person is buried around here. I tried calling for her, but she never answered. I bet she's overrated anyways.

When Davy Crockett was killed at the Alamo, the new Republic of Texas gave his wife Elizabeth land . She is buried on part of that land, along with two of her children. The statue over her grave shows her looking for her husband to come back to her. This area around the graves is surrounded by a metal fence and has the distinction of being the smallest state park in Texas.
