I love this place. I have my own special "spot" I enjoy camping at and it has become known to my family as my spot and they know exactly where I'm talking about. I hate to tell everyone what a great place this is. Someone will start getting here befo re me!
Nice unassuming spot. Campsites are well spaced not much shade. Bathrooms are not always available check with the Brazos Authority First. Convenience Store two miles away. No hookups for RVs primitive sites. Plenty of parking very accessible boat ramp good fishing enjoyed it.
Awesome boondocking spot. City-owned, next to the water of a reservoir, kids are able to kayak paddle board, and do some fishing. Awesome, clean and peaceful. Restroom close by. No showers.
Great fishing! Great camping areas! Weekdays it's empty but weekends its packed full of ppl. My advice go Wednesday or Thursday morning to get the best spot!! It's a really nice park the bathrooms aren't clean & no shower so best thing to do is take a luggable Lou as well as a portable shower. It's quiet after 11pm really GREAT PLACE TO CAMP & it's FREE FREE FREE!!!
Great place to camp, fish, and have a fun time with family and/or friends. Boat ramp is new,easy to see and navigate. The restrooms are as clean as one could expect for it being public. The only thing causing it not to get 5 stars is the Hood County Sheriff's department. They are always out there and they make people nervous and the fun is interrupted til they leave.
